Fixing a bad 0.6 install

OK, so if you were one of the unlucky people that got 0.6 with the migration problem, you probably have nothing on your Operator toolbar.

The problem is that it got half migrated, so because we see some preferences, we don’t recreate the default set.

Here’s how to fix it:

Type about:config in the URL bar and press enter.

Type operator in the filter at the top.

Delete (right click and select reset) ALL preferences that start with extensions.operator.

Once you’ve done this, close and restart the browser and you should get the default set.

Again, my apologies.

  1. Works a treat. Thanks for taking the time to jump on this and rectify it quickly.

If only all support was like yours 🙂

  2. Ok, fixed too. But a little bit annoying to do…
Was it a conflicting between the terms “operator” and “operator_toolbar”..?

Hope that fixing the problem with the Tab Bar, will fix another annoying bug: with Tab Mix Plus (extension available on AMO), you are abled to force external applications to open links in New Tab, and not New Window (so you keep Firefox using only 1 window).
